While the Hong Kong Hospital Authority (HA) provides indemnity for clinical negligence claims, Medical Protection gives you independent support with Medical Council investigations. You can request advice and legal representation for coroner inquests, disciplinary and regulatory proceedings, and criminal investigations related to your professional practice.

You can also access confidential counselling, which includes support for work-related stress that may impact your practice like burnout, anxiety, and conflict.

We protect your career and reputation

Medical Protection offers members who work for the Hospital Authority a choice of two different membership options:

  • membership that includes regulatory assistance (independent of your employer) so you are able to request access to representation during Medical Council investigations, or
  • membership that excludes regulatory assistance.
