Volcanic activity affecting St. Vincent and the Grenadines

14 April 2021
We are aware of the ongoing volcanic activity which is affecting St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and appreciate how difficult it is – both professionally and personally – for those members who live there, as they attempt to deal with this against the backdrop of the COVID-19 pandemic.  Our thoughts are with them at this time, and we have reached out to all impacted members to reassure them that we are here to help should they need it.

Members in St. Vincent and the Grenadines
We recognise that you may be working in very challenging circumstances and our priority is to ensure that we provide the support, advice and guidance you might need in order to be able to care for your patients during this time.

We understand that in this difficult situation you may be asked to perform a duty outside your normal area of expertise. If this is the case, our advice is to assess whether you feel competent to proceed, and if you have any concerns, you should advise whoever has asked you to do so and explain and, if possible, record these concerns.

We also appreciate that you may be required to temporarily relocate and work outside of your normal jurisdiction. If so, we ask that you contact us and let us know as soon as you are able to.
