MPS has produced a briefing document ahead of the Medical Innovation Bill’s Second reading in the House of Commons, which is currently scheduled for Friday 6 March. Throughout the Bill’s progress, MPS has been concerned that it could damage the doctor-patient relationship, give false reassurance to some doctors, and hinder current responsible medical innovation. In the briefing MPS calls on MP’s to object to this Bill going forward without debate before Parliament is dissolved for the upcoming General Election.
